It's a bit like popcorn. As others mentioned, you can ask at the gate. T&C's mean seats can and do change. If you want to select a seat, next time pay for "main cabin". If my plans are firm, I might go saver myself. I upfare myself to ensure ticket flexibility.
I would have gone up to Main Cabin but the difference in price was staggering. From what I remember, at the time of booking it was $300 vs ~$600 for this particular ticket. Didn't seem worth spending $600 total to select seats.
