sorry chris, I am the OP? How do you figure that? My questioning of a person who rates airlines that he/she has admitted themselves that they have never flown was 1050+ posts into the thread, not "OP". So here we go. The A340 is an antiquated piece of garbage. Most airlines dumped them long ago. When I flew them MULTIPLE times in F, the product was garbage, a 4 inch video screen perhaps and terrible seats. LH has a significant fleet of them, and now have 5 in service. Perhaps the new product is outstanding, I'll give you that, but I am not one of the possible 2000 or so passengers to have experienced it in the last 3 years (and perhaps 7000 since they renovated them, over 7 years). Seems that you are, that is great.

As I have said many times, if you are (un)lucky enough to exclusively fly in/out of FRA/MUC then obviously LH is the best carrier for you, no Business Class seat can compare, either against LH Biz or F, and for that matter LH is a far superior short haul product as well. I cannot even imagine how other airlines still exist. Every airline should be Lufthansa as they are universally seen as the best. Happy?
