Long time reader but relatively new to the Flyertalk party so great to go through the collective wisdoms.

I'm headed to BA solo next week from LHR on BA247 (on a last gasp TP run to get Gold) and have a bunch of questions you've probably attended to previously but any help is gratefully received. Really so excited and can't wait and I'll be jumping here a lot in the meantime to get recommendations for eating, must see etc. Just a taste this time but I'm headed back later in the year though for a more meaningful visit.

Think I've found a comfy hotel that meets my needs, I have travel insurance already, have asked them to clarify and offer anything more regarding their Covid details and have the DDJJ lined up to be completed in due course.

The only things currently on my mind are getting to the Hotel from the airport, they offer a shuttle service so I'm inclined to go with that. I'm guessing that it is ok to pay USD ? The currency to get and use also, from what I've read the airport doesn't give you a good exchange rate and a Cambio is a better option and I won't be able to get any Peso before then. My Spanish is non existent so it could be fun trying not to be stitched up right.
