Inconvenient and inconvenient transfers through 2 German airports with such lounges, or non stops which the vast majority of people not from Germany would prefer (and no one ever prefers to connect through FRA), as at the other ends one normally gets suboptimal LH lounges, and if we are talking short to long haul connections an inferior J service in Europe. Sure you want to compare everything? There are a LOT of good lounges out there, most of them are NOT LH, there are a good amount of better short haul J services out there than LH, which one would need to connect, etc etc.
I’m really curious to know the 10 F of other airlines, who are better than LH F. But I not sure if you are the right guy to tell me about it. Blaming LH for its service for LH F passengers on the ground including the LH F lounges makes no sense at all. In the market there are Fs with better hardware on board, but it’s hard to find other Fs with a better ground service and better lounges.

Even I’m focused on LH group right now, most of my years as a passenger I was loyal to other airlines than LH (and LX/OS) and I had more than 100 F flights so far.

IRROP handling doesn’t exist at ME3 carriers. An airline, that doesn’t care if you reach your destination in time or not, can’t offer a competitive F. And they have IRROPS because of the sandstorm season and for other reasons. Yes, they give you a nice hotel for the night, but LH tries everything to bring you to your destination as soon as possible, better than any other airline business. At that important point it’s no service vs. best service.

During its golden age I’ve flown with EY F dozens of times and I know, that on the ground EY doesn’t have any clue what F means. And I’ve belonged to the very, very few preferred EY customers, who got a limo service for apron positions at AUH. Yes, the EY F lounge was good most of the time when it was open, but everything else doesn’t work on the ground. LH FCT belongs to the best and the FCLs at FRA and MUC are great lounges as well. I’ve made some very short connections at FRA because of the limousine service. At most others hubs of other F airlines that would have been impossible. But during EY’s golden time its value for money was impossible to beat. Pay 2 in C and fly 3 in F was irresistible for me for a couple of years. These days EY can’t compete with anything.

I’ve flown with BA F for a couple of years before and I’ve stopped flying with them, after I had to realize that BA i.e. sees no need to clean a puked F seat before a flight. I’ve given them another chance again and again because I really like London and a layover there is definitely a plus, but not a plus for BA F. But BA is just not capable to provide a reliable service.

I understand, if someone prefers SQ F, especially on A388 to LH F. I also understand, if someone likes NH F most. AF F can be excellent and better than LH F as well. But usually all of them are much more expensive than LH F. I think, a return flight on LH F for EUR 4,000 is better than a return flight on AF F for EUR 10,000.

Another point is, that LH M&M gives me plenty of evouchers to uprgrade from cheap LH C (P) to LH F. That way I’m flying rt LH F for EUR 1,500 plus 4 evouchers. And it’s very easy to get a lot of M&M miles in Germany even without flying. Other airlines with a competitive F are not even close to that at their home markets.
