It's not uncommon to have issues getting the right price, but you do want to make sure you are armed with all the facts first. Make sure you search the entire route (not segment by segment) when querying inventory, and do note that yes, some fares have a 30-day max stay (3 month is much more common) but also that seasonality boundaries might not be what you expect.

Fare basis KK146NCV, Orig ticket date 11/9/21. Citypair AMS-KOA (AMS-SFO-KOA). (Outbound was KOA-SFO-IAH-AMS, return AMS-SFO-KOA). Original return date 5/3; requesting 5/24. All UA metal, both directions, which makes things easier too.
Note: On UA.com the reservation just shows the fare basis; the rules section is blank.
Update: UA saying it's a seasonal fare, only valid until May 13. Is this because it happens to be today + 1 month, or is that hardcoded?
