0845 isn't the freephone code, 080x is. 0845 is special rate, most mobiles and all landlines (inc payphones) don't charge for 080 calls. Most mobile packages will include 01, 02 (Geographic); 03 (non-geographic), and 07 (mobile) numbers as "inclusive" calls. I think that the point is that 0845 is listed on Qantas site as the number to call for those calling on mobile phones. Some mobiles will not charge for 0800, but some do ( or used to )
You can call Qantas on a geographic number as long as you either know it, or know of how to find it out. QF chooses to advertise an 0845 number rather than its geographic number, which is a the problem.
