I booked via an OTA recently and was able to select seats via QR's MMB site no problems (once the e-ticket had been issued). I momentarily freaked out when it rejected it at first but it was just a case of waiting until it ticketed.

Similar to [MENTION=3230]stargold[/MENTION] I don't have knowledge on OWS benefits for seat allocation though, apologies.
