Unhappy

Wow, looks like things didn't change much from December 2020. I stayed at the Hilton Playa Del Carmen for 5 days which was right next to the GH PDC. GH was a party zone every single afternoon-night for those 5 days with the loud music and all. Music was so bad that it could be heard over at the cabanas I was in the Hilton PDC. Sad to hear the beach is gone.

The pool area was always easy to find a chair, but I wasn't able to place up the umbrellas some days due to wind, and got very hot very quick. The service around the pool was hit or miss. It was supposed to start at 10AM, but often didn't see a server until well past 11AM. Be forewarned, there is a loud and obnoxious Zumba class that takes place at 12:30PM every day. The music is extremely offensive, with lots of cuss words, and one song was all about people with small d*cks. As a Globalist, I was only upgraded to a partial ocean view King room, which was disappointing, but understandable given it is Spring Break, I guess. The Grand Club was packed each day with lots of kids present and screaming babies. It often took 20 minutes to get a drink in the evening from the bartender. The food spread, however, was excellent for both breakfast and dinner each day. Internet was fast and reliable throughout my stay. COVID test was easy and convent, and I got results within the hour.
