Just one more data point it was an AARP rate.

Totally different rant: I am dreading returning the car - there was a list of 7 damage items on the contract (a pretty significant dent on the door identified as "minor" on the contract so I took a picture) The car has over 30,000 km and is scratched all over. Missed the fact that is said "minor" scrapes on two rims - when all four are scraped. And missed a small gouge in the tire.

At least it says "minor scrapes" on front and back bumpers so I can tell them that it also said the dent (that is pretty clearly old) was also "minor"

Taking pictures two levels down in a garage at the Gare Lyon Paris does not make for great pictures.

Used my UA Explorer card as they are primary insurance - never had to fall back on that but this place gives me a bad vibe irrespective of if I was right or wrong about the charge for the extra driver.

Another unrelated note, left the car at the hotel and spent the day car free sampling French wines!
