And therein lies the catch. It's often the case that such passriders don't get cleared into Polaris or their seat assignments until around time boarding starts and at the gate, by which time it's too late to visit the Polaris lounge. Some of these passriders buy UC memberships so they can at least use the regular lounge while at the airport.
