It's a seller's market, these days. I used to be able to find off-season bookings in Milan for 30-40€/day, now it's at least 60. Plus, it's the summer, it's Puglia, so it's pretty much the epicentre of everything. If I were you I'd take the loss and get a reputable car company. No dodgy outfits, no friends of a cousin, no "Sicily by Car"...
