I disagree. As long as the OP and party aren't disruptive, how is this any different than anyone else's choice of stuff on a plane? Some people like to sit and watch movies, some like to talk, some walk around, some drink. As long as you're not shouting, its not my place to say what's acceptable and not.
It’s been a few years since I’ve taken AA F, but do the seats still have the buddy seat? If so, then very easy to have a more intimate moment and further away from other passengers.
For what it’s worth, seems serving passenger food is something that hasn’t been allowed since COVID. I certainly brought carefully wrapped things like risotto, fish, a salad, and the FA in First proactively offered to heat up what I wanted hot and plate it all nicely. I was impressed, but this would have been at least five years back now.
