This thread reminded me of the time, at least 20 years ago, when I arranged to have a birthday cake presented to my wife, who was flying DFW-CDG-NCE, on AF. We knew the owner/chef of a restaurant in Grapevine, who also had the
pastry/bread catering contract with AF for the DFW-CDG flight and so I asked if he could do a cake for my wife's flight, which he did! Written on the top was: "Have a Nice Flight".

I know, it was AF and not AA, and we had a catering connection, but this was a "nice" gesture and a great memory!
