Meanwhile I have weird "fetish" of trying different airlines, especially for TPAC/TATL trips, I HAVE to try a new carrier everytime. I'm yet to try Icelandair, so I booked an one-way ticket in July from UK back to US, it was 35k miles + sub$300 tax and surcharge when I booked it, which was never ideal, and FI stopped releasing J seats to AS. Now even that flight increased to 45k miles one-way due to dynamic pricing. But I made my home airport as a stopover and tagged a trip to Adak Island to justify the price I paid..
