I will need for both stays a suite, living room and bedroom (separated), so no junior suite. A nice view would be nice, location is not important as we'll be moving about quite a lot in the city anyway (looking for property).
The Westin Sydney has very good Executive Suites which are full 1-bedroom suites. This has got to be one of the best Westins in the chain (a lot better than those in the States!)

The bathroom is spectacular including the heavenly shower and a glass panel that enables to look at the city (but not vice versa). Bedroom is spacious. Living room boasts sofa, tv, desk (but not dining table).

We have stayed at the Park Hyatt but I still prefer the Westin. The suite we had a the Park Hyatt was an open plan suite though - had 2 balconies facing the Opera House. Slightly out of the way. Westin is in the middle of the Business District, atop a mall where there are restaurants and bars, including a very good steakhouse.

I have been told that the Shangri-la (previously ANA) has very good 1-bedroom suite with dining table and all but never had too high regard for the ex-ANA. It is nice but not in the league of Park Hyatt, Westin or even Four Seasons. The FS was previously Regent but not the strongest link in the chain, one of the weakers ones in fact.

What is more, you will probably get the best deal at Westin.
