I haven't stayed here but in the area before. We like the area because it's more walkable and quiet a bit going on. We spend a lot of time out of our rooms when we travel so the small size isn't much of an issue. I've stayed at GH not too far away and it is just too big and feels like I'm at a work conference. Great hotel and big rooms but not the vacation vibe I'm looking for.

I agree with you. We picked the Andaz because we haven't stayed there before and wanted something a bit different. The OP asked for "value" for points bookings and certs so I gave my example. My wife and I stay at SLH properties most of the time because they are usually small and unique and it's how I found the Hyatt world of Hyatt program. There aren't many places we're we were planning to go anyway to use those cat 4 certs
