No thank you. I don’t consider an hour layover in in KEL or HEL an option. Nor do I want to spend 280K on Aer Lingus.
You did catch the part about everyone in Europe now being able to come to the US, didn’t you? Summer 2022 is a garbage fire for availability because everyone has three years of miles chasing inventory that doesn’t have three times the award seats. Comparing against normal and assuming you can do what you’ve always done… well, I don’t think you can expect wide open awards when everyone and their uncle and their dog is going to Europe, or from Europe to the US.
If you want to savage the program or dump it because there’s super strong demand for award inventory after a 100-year pandemic… I don’t know what you expect.
I still made changes all through 2022, including booking DE J and AY J nonstop to and from SEA when they showed up, and they did show up and with WIDE OPEN inventory in peak season, if you paid attention in this very forum, but it went pretty fast.

I don’t think routing through HEL is a problem at all compared to paying $300 or more YQ on BA. Your mileage may vary. I actually think it’s been pretty decent all things considered. There has been stuff out there. It just goes fast because there’s demand.
