I presume this is a DUB-LHR-TYO return? Best way is to price up the return as a cash fare WTP and note the taxes/fees/charges, then price up with CW on outbound and/or inbound depending on what you want to upgrade with avios and compare the taxes/fees/charges.

Generally carrier surcharges are highest going to the US/CA, but can be much less going east so it is possible £49 is correct - although I am not sure where you got the figure from.
