I was thinking the same thing before I got to your post.

Anyone think that the number of Golds or Diamonds at any individual hotel might set the standard for elite treatment at that hotel? For example, a busy airport location or high-priced Hilton in a business center would likely encounter many more Golds/Diamonds than a more remote hotel alongside an Interstate. Which would have the greater incentive to fulfill elite benefits - the busy location which has an almost guaranteed portion of elite clientele or the off-the-beaten-path one hoping to attract more?
