You've had better luck than I have. Recently was on a flight MIA-BOS with my family (2 F seats, 2 coach), and wanted to swap the two kids (one in coach, the other F), in the middle of the flight, so each would have their turn (BTW, my kids are well-behaved teens, so no comments needed about kids in F). I was told in no uncertain terms that this was not going to happen, and I'd better not try it (because of "security"). Not such a big deal, so I meekly returned to my seat, but I think this is the luck of the draw. Sounds like it works some times, not others.
