While I don't have the T&C's or prices, speaking with my CSD friend, this is true. They have simplified the structure and it is a one-off payment depending on class and zone (so LHR-DXB will be much less then say LHR-SIN). HOWEVER, do bear in mind that there has to be a) seats in the cabin b) sufficient catering on board. I think this can be done from most tickets as the premise for this is to not have to look up fare codes. Boy, might be a good deal for those with the $20 tickets!!
