DHS cancelled my NEXUS application
I had originally applied in July 2019, and it took until February 2020 for it to be conditionally approved. As we all know, the pandemic hit, so all locations closed and my interview appointment was cancelled. Every time since then when an office I could get to opened up I rebooked, only for that appointment to be cancelled when locations closed again.
DHS cancelled my application today, saying I had not booked an appointment. I most certainly had, multiple times. I don't drive, so there was pretty much no way I could get to the locations that were open in the US (other than Calais ME, which has delayed opening until April 19).
I don't suppose there is any recourse? Effectively, they took my money in 2019, delayed approving far past normal timelines, and then wouldn't extend the deadline even though half of the locations are *still* closed.
