Initially there was not good data on how warm moist environments affected transmission. The concern could have been infection of the person who cleans the shower several times per shift. This seems not to be a problem, although if the shower rooms include toilets there is an issue. Now, it seems more likely to be related to staff availability to perform the cleaning, in addition to the flush toilet complication.
