that plus top of the line travel insurance that is automatic for all airline tix and hotels charged to the card (including award tix). Much better than Amex which only covers RT flights. I almost always book one-ways.

this used to happen to me too but ceased when I stopped swiping the card at restaurants outside the USA. In any case we now prefer to use Amex Gold (4x dining points) or my Freedom Unlimited (also 3x) for restaurants.
Agree that the card needs a major refresh from JPM but that does not not seem to be the direction Chase is headed now.
Has anyone ever had success in requesting a retention bonus?
