I booked directly thru IndiGo on domestic itinerary with US credit card a few weeks ago. Had to verify card at check-in in AMD, but it took 2 seconds. I also booked SQ award ticket on Vistara domestic, with US credit card for fees, and no check - was able to checkin online etc.
