honestly, after booking and with the same itin at higher rates than before, you might have been better off just buying the inter-island flights separately and leaving the existing awards as is. Have no idea on LIH-OGG specifically, but know I have seen other inter-Island fares that are like $60 or $70 per person.
My concern is can I trust what the reservation told me? They seemed like already taken care of my reservation according to them. The problem is not the LIH to OGG flight, it is the OGG to LAX flight that they made an even exchange which I am worried about that they will charge 25k/person later.
