Is your Allianz policy cancellable/refundable, or have you not yet purchased it?
If you find that your alma mater does permit alumni to use the university's car-rental contract, you might want to bring along a certified copy of your transcript, showing the conferral of a degree, so that you can establish your entitlement to use the university rate. (Car-rental companies seem to be cracking down on unauthorized use of contract codes.)
