are there any areas where the resorts has made an effort to make it soft? how is it by the ocean entrance?
im just hoping it doesn’t feel like walking on concrete. the pictures don’t really look amazing and it does look very grainy and very hard, but i haven’t read too much on this anywhere…
Just came back from the WA. I thought the sand was coarser and rougher in composition than I would have hoped for. It definitely was not powdery white sand. In most areas, it's probably barefoot walkable but I'd recommend water shoes or socks. The best sand I saw was actually around the arrival area and the Tasting Table area. I didn't spend much time at the Nava beach area, but that might be ok too.
In terms of the ocean entrance, I'd definitely wear water shoes or water socks. It gets rocky pretty fast from what I saw. On the reef villas, the water entrance to the ocean had patches of sand and rocks but overall I wouldn't have felt comfortable barefoot there. On the beach villas, there is a stretch of sand into the ocean but it gets rocky pretty fast and I wore water shoes or water socks almost all the time.
