Wonder why mine hasn't been approved yet since I applied a couple days earlier than him and have no criminal record and he got approved already. Seems like if someone has a criminal record it would take them longer to review

Not a huge deal since I have a two year grace period but I have a couple international trips this summer and if I have to reinterview would like to do it upon arrival in the US on one of those trips.
Give yourself 3.5 months for approval or conditional approval, as this is the current timeline for these pending approvals nowadays.
