If you plan on skiing Alta Snowbird on the other side of the canyon we like staying at the Cliff Lodge which is ski on ski off at Snowbird. The hotel looks uninviting from the outside (it was built to withstand avalanches) but it's very nice on the inside, they just put 35 million in renovations into the property and if you have an IKON or Mountain Collective pass you can get 25% off on your stay.
Thanks for the advice. I'm not even limiting myself to the holidays. There is basically nothing available between mid-December through early March, in any room category. Pretty crazy.

We may do the HC or a a condo rental if SER is truly this booked up. The HC seems to get mixed reviews around here, but that seems to be the case for most Hyatt ski properties (PH Beaver Creek included).
