So I have a J return 241 to Syd early in 2023. It's cost c 260k Avios plus £880 pp in YQ.
I have just seen QR have a J return leg available from BNE via DOH which would suit me better for a total of 180k Avios plus £380
So more Avios but less YQ. But for a better product( the leg from Sin- LHR is showing as a 2-4-2 777 for example)
1. Can I cancel my 241 return leg whilst retaining the outbound or would I have to lose that? There are no other outbound dates showing as available when I want to go.
2. I assume I would get approx half the YQ back?
3. Would the YQ be recalculated at 'new' rates?
4. Any other issues anyone can foresee?
