Issue with AP and partner airlines ticketing

This is a long read so TLDR version: I think there is a big issue with ticketing between AP and partner airlines not on *A.

I just had a very stressful two days due to what I believe is a ticketing issue between Aeroplan's system and partner airlines that are not part of *A. The ones in my situation ended up being Etihad and Gulf Air.

Our trip was YVR-MUC-VCE-IST-AUH in J. Up until we got to Istanbul, everything was fine. In VCE, they mentioned they could not provide our connecting boarding pass and told us to get it in IST.Due to a slight delay, we only had about an 1 hour, 10 minute connection to get to our IST-AUH flight on EY96.

When we got to the desk for international transfers, the agent at the EY desk spent about 30 minutes trying to solve an issue that seemed to involved our ticketing number on AP not matching any number on their itinerary. In the end, due to the amount of time it took, he returned our passports and told us we needed to rebook our flight or talk to AP. We ended up overnighting in IST since we missed our connection.

I talked to Aeroplan and got them to rebook a new flight from IST-BAH-DBX as we already lost a day of travel and wanted to get straight to Dubai.

We got to the Gulf Air gate and again, the exact same issue happened. They spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with our ticket. In the end, they said Aeroplan ticketing side did not make it to Gulf Airs side at HQ for only my wife's ticket but mine ticketed just fine. The only option was to call AP (call center was closed) or buy a new ticket in J for my wife which we had to do at the cost of $1800 CAD.

I'm absolutely livid that a system issue caused us to almost miss two different flights back to back.

Do I have any recourse for AP paying for the cost of my wife's ticket (which she had to rebuy of the same flight that was supposed to be ticketed), cost of overnight accommodations, visa (as I had to pay to get into turkey) and extra points or financial compensation? I felt I was left out to dry by both AP and the airlines involved. Both airlinee said that it is not their fault and put the blame solely on AP's system. Has anyone else had this issue?

About to jump on my flight to BAH but hope I could get some advice. Thank you!
