Update - both the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express at Dublin airport are run by the Tifco Hotel Group.
A quick search will show the CEO is Enda O’Meara and COO is Mary Buckley.
Their email format is initial plus surname @ tifcohotels.ie.
I've replied to the hotel's cancellation email with them in copy asking why they feel the IHG Guarantee (“If for any reason your reservation cannot be honored, IHG will provide you with a room and transportation to another convenient and comparable hotel. And, we’ll pay for the full cost of the first night’s lodging price, plus tax”) does not apply to them, also noting that the Holiday Inn at the airport (run by the JMK group) are choosing the relocate customers who ask.
Surely they are in breach of contract and the unwillingness to relocate booked customers is simply the easiest option for them.
