TK offers two types of awards. "Promotional" is what you might know as "saver" space. "Guaranteed" is basically the last seat available, but you pay more miles for it. For direct flights to IST on peak dates, you almost always can only find "guaranteed" awards.

The only way to book "guaranteed" awards is to have TK miles. (which you can get from Citi or Capital One cards in the US)
