Officially any transit >8hrs and <24hrs is required to go to the free transit hotel provided by Ethiopian - you are not allowed to remain in the transit area for >8hrs (this is not enforced diligently though). Personally, I wouldn't even consider 11 hours in the lounge voluntarily if the Skylight Hotel was an option.
