We are not big data hogs, and I can't really imagine us using more 2G during our trip. Should I look to buy something from eBay or Amazon shipped to the US ahead of time, order from Amazon or Vodafone or Three to have it delivered to my London hotel on my day of arrival, or just wait until I'm in London to buy something in person? And does anyone have a recommendation on the best one to get?
Vodafone's UK site is offering a 7GB bundle for £10, which seems like a steal. But it appears I must have it shipped to a UK address. And then at the top it says that "all bundles include roaming in 51 European destinations" which sounds great, but I'm confused by the language under the unlimited bundle. Is it only there to indicate that the unlimited bundle has a data cap when roaming? Or does it mean only the unlimited bundle includes roaming?
And then there's this lovely bit of language:
My trip is after 8 June... What the heck does that mean? No more roaming in Europe?
Three's prices seem higher, and they seem to want to charge for roaming.
Thanks for the advice.
Sadly post-Brexit many of the mobile companies have announced they’ll be back to charging in Europe again.
O2 has stated they will still be including it in their standard tariffs (not PAYG).
