Had a German boss back in the 80's. There was a family who's name was Kneubeul. The family did NOT pronounce the "K".
Mr. German boss pronounced the K and the family corrected him. After they left, Mr. German Boss said to me "They don't even
know how to pronounce their own name!". Makes me chuckle every time I think of it.
