Plus on the aisle seat there seems to be plenty of legroom. Any particular reason to avoid these seats or sit further back in Economy Plus?
I flew UA1 earlier this week. Flights are getting full but not yet packed, so decent chance of an open middle in Economy Plus. The main drawback of row 30 is that the armrests don't move, which you are aware of, and may prevent you from laying flat in "poor man's business class". The aisle seats on the window triplets (I believe 30C and 30G) have slightly better legroom since the bulkhead does not extend the whole way unlike 30D and 30F.

edited to clarify the bulkhead extends all the way to the floor, but not all the way across your line of sight since Premium Plus is in pairs at the window side.
