Considering they are substantially replacing Polaris 777s one-for-one on the same frequencies, with about half of the "good" seats (28J vs. 50-60J + 24PE) I think the "dreaded" moniker is apt!
I'm really hoping to see UA add PE to the domestic 777 fleet, but I am not at all optimistic about it.
With only 28J, I think UA could actually monetize it because there are definitely times when people will pay to sit up front, but there are no seats. PE would be a viable alternative for those. I would (UA monitors, please close your eyes) even pay for it between Hawaii and West Coast w/ included meal and drinks. I think it's a no-brainer.
