Literally just got off the phone (somehow, no wait at all!) and they switched me with no problem whatsoever (and it looks like rebooked me into D, not that I think it makes any difference now). Who knows, but maybe it helped that this time I mentioned the original flight was cancelled as opposed to just saying there was a schedule change.
