Centric Mag Mile was a la carte during the week when I stayed in the later half of last year. I think it was a buffet during the weekend, but it also might have been both. I didn't try the buffet but would think that the a la carte would be better quality.

The quality of breakfast at the Thompson was good, but I felt like the choices were a bit more limited (no pancakes). The restaurant was open when I stayed over New Year's.
