Just curious - what would be considered a bargain in today's new pricing scheme? Well, that depends on a lot of unknown factors... To wit - What route did you find the deal on - and - how many days/weeks/months out from your targeted travel date did you find this deal? Finally, assuming this was a route you've traveled before, was the bargain price you found on par with what was paid in advance of the mid-March price increases?
There used to be a freelance search program (called "Amsnag") that would find the fares for thirty-day ranges between any two cities. In the absence of that, I use these charts for determining if I am getting a bargain:
