Thank you friedablass and kevinjm, nice timing, just got off the phone with Chase. Per the rep I spoke with, the only option that did NOT involve Chase sending in a day or 2 and my replying to an email was to transfer the credit to another Chase credit card. ACH transfer to my Chase bank account or mailed check both require Chase sending me an email which would require a reply. I asked her to transfer to the new Hyatt biz card account, I should spend at least that much at Hyatts this month, she said look for it in 24-48 hours.
The credit balance is inconsequential, I can afford to float that amount for a month or 2. The significant parts of all this are that a very gracious Hyatt Residence Club manager was willing to credit $1200 to one card then immediately bill to another card AND did so without charging me the transaction fee (as other vendors have done) AND that Chase did not (yet?) clawback the $5,000 incremental spend TQNs.
