I think we're talking about two different things. I don't consider those areas tourist attractions. I'm talking about the fact that the majority of tourists who visit CDMX stay in those areas. Which makes it an area with lots of tourists, who I avoid while traveling and I prefer to stay in other areas off the beaten track. I do that no matter where I visit. But sometimes there's no other choice.
