Personally, I never saw the point of releasing information on the origin of an imported case (the total imported case stat in itself was pointless as well). It simply feeds hatred and fear of 'foreignness' while doing nothing for the public health situation itself. I'm pleased Singapore has moved well past that and regret that Taiwan still does it.
