Past 3 domestics (CE) the USB was not working but I always carry a mobile charger. It's the kind of thing that Cabin Crew should be switching on automatically (if working) without needing a nudge. On my last flight I did ponder what other electronics on the flight weren't working - it' is odd that a simple electronic current system wouldn't work but I'm sure there's a good reason.
