With Japan showing no signs of fully removing its border restrictions and BA struggling to adequately crew its flights well into the summer and beyond this year, the strategic decision is probably to remove Japan from the BA network for the foreseeable future. I hope BA allows those 2-4-1s booked to Tokyo to be extended into 2023 as BA will resume operations to Japan but the country shows no sign of allowing most visitors in yet.
