Adding the the infant in arms for domestic travel on the day of travel should not be a problem. A potential issue could be on IROPs if Atlanta is experiencing weather issue or otherwise. Delta may try to route you via an alternate city. Of course, you’ll need to be proactive and act accordingly if that is about to happen.
