We stayed on a points redemption for 3 nights last week.
Other than the hotel needing a significant remodel and refurb we had a good stay.
Prior to arriving I received several text messages welcoming us to the hotel and asking if I needed anything. We had 2 separate reservations, 1 for 2 nights and one for a 3rd so I asked to ensure we could stay in the same room. They were able to do this even through the hotel was at 100% capacity. I booked a partial ocean view, the room we got was the partial category but was close enough the the beach side of the hotel that the view was great.
There was a charge for parking - $20 per night - when I checked in on the app it asked it I was parking and I said yes but we were never charged. It didn't seem like there was any enforcement.
Because we used points there was no resort fee charged.
We received the $15 per person per day food credit although the breakfast buffet (which was decent) was $26 per person. Drinks were pricey by the pool as was the food but using the Amex Hilton $250 resort credit on 2 cards for $500 total we ended up with a completely "free" trip!
We had housekeeping no problem and the staff was super attentive - there were a lot of them working so no staff shortages there.
Location is good, the pool area is small but the hotel is right on the beach and has plenty of chairs available. There are 3 cabanas at the pool so we rented one for Saturday ($100)
Overall I'd probably stay there again if using points.
