I contacted two friends in Chicago, who said the message is clear on United Next - exec leaders truly believe the hard product carries the day - new seats, aircraft, TVs, etc - and claim to have tons of “customer data” to support this.
While I wasn't asked - I will take hard product and the investments over liquor/soft product - for me personally - it isn't a tough question of which I prefer.
I'd rather be comfortable and deal with beer/wine - than uncomfortable/limited or reduced AVOD and get my liquor on.
